Doctor robbed of gold chain

BANGALORE: An unidentified miscreant snatched a gold chain worth about `1 lakh from a doctor of Victoria Hospital in Central police station limits on Monday night. Dr Prasuna (49), a resident of Padmanabhanagar, is the victim.The police said that when she was standing near the hospital’s compound at BVK Iyengar Road and Mysore Road Junction to go home on Monday night, an unidentified miscreant who came from behind snatched her gold chain, weighing 35 grams. Though the doctor raised an alarm for help, the miscreant fled before the public could catch him. Central police have  registered a case and are investigating.
