Google to launch cloud storage service: WSJ
Google will charge a fee to those who want to store a large amount of files.

New Delhi: Google Inc., reportedly, is set to launch a cloud-storage service - called Drive - which is expected to give a tough competition to the cloud-storage provider Dropbox Inc, said a report from the Wall Street Journal.

Drive will allow people to store photos, documents and videos on Google's servers so that they could be accessible from any Web-connected device and allows them to easily share the files with others, these people said.

According to the WSJ, "The Google service is expected to be launched in the coming weeks or months, and will be free for most consumers and businesses. But, Google will charge a fee to those who want to store a large amount of files."

A Google spokesman, however, declined to comment.

There have been rumours about the same for last many years, but it is to be seen that when Google will roll it out.
