HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday suspected that the state government and the CBI were not furnishing accurate information in YSRC president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s illegal assets case thereby preventing strong legal action against him.The law took its own course in the cases involving BJP leader Bangaru Laxman, Jharkhand ex-chief minister Madhu Koda, Common Wealth Games irregularities and Adarsh and 2-G Spectrum scams, but the same was not being allowed in Jagan’s case due to the nexus between the ruling Congress and the YSRCP, he alleged.Naidu told reporters that Jagan should have been arrested two years ago or at least six months before. “Instead, the Congress has brought the talk of Jagan’s arrest before the bypolls. I suspect that the ruling party is trying to see that Jagan gets sympathy in the elections,” Naidu alleged.Jagan not being arrested though the other accused in the illegal assets case were held, the stay on the GO stopping advertisements to Sakshi and the unfreezing of the accounts of Jagan media firms on Wednesday all point to the match-fixing between the Congress and the YSRCP. The government did not provide needed information to the courts, the TDP chief said.On the apprehensions that YSRCP would create lawlessness in the state, if Jagan was arrested, the TDP chief said it was Congress culture and Jagan had imbibed it. “The late chief minister M Channa Reddy himself had revealed that goondas were brought from Kadapa and Vijayawada to dethrone him as chief minister,” Naidu alleged.
