H'bad: Psycho-killer shows no signs of giving up
Psycho-killer Rachakonda Sambasiva Rao alias Psycho Samba gave a slip to the Guntur urban police on Thursday.

Hyderabad/Vijayawada: About 200 policemen hunting for one notorious offender in a forest area spread over some 23 km for the past 72 hours. Sounds like a plot of a Hindi flick, but it is not.

The hide and seek game between the policemen and psycho-killer Rachakonda Sambasiva Rao alias Psycho Samba, who gave a slip to the Guntur urban police on Thursday, continued for the third day on Saturday with the offender showing no signs of giving up.

The policemen found parts of the chain, with two locks attached to it, which was tied to Samba’s legs after his arrest. Blood stains were also found on a rock in the forest. They even spotted Samba some 100 metres away. But they could not lay their hands on him as he vanished.

The development indicated that Samba had managed to break the chain, perhaps using a stone and got himself injured in the process. The handcuffs, however, appear to be intact.

The police who intend to catch him, are not supposed to open fire at him, police sources said.

The search operation for Samba, which is going on in the Kondapally reserve forest area, will continue at the crack of dawn on Sunday. The policemen are hopeful of nabbing him by Monday evening.

The Guntur and Vijayawada police have jointly taken up Operation Samba. It is learnt that even the anti-Naxal teams have also been deployed but they have been told not to open fire.
