Over 50 pooja items besides two idols of Lord Garuda and Hanuman among other item were found at Hampi world heritage site on Saturday while repairing Mantap of Lakshmi temple, which is located on the left of the Vijaya Vital Temple.
The idols are said to be of silver and brown colour.
However, to know the details of the items, a team from Archeological Survey of India, Bangalore, will visit Hampi on Sunday and some samples will be sent to laboratory in Hyderabad, sources said.
The officials of the Archeological Survey of India, Hampi, visited the spot as the news spread that items belong to the Vijayanagar dynasty found at Hampi.
However, the items were taken from the site to the ASI in Kamalapura.
