Nowhatta: Protests have broken out in the Nowhatta area of Jammu and Kashmir soon after the Friday prayers with some youth even raising flags of Pakistan, terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba and Islamic State.

Police had to fire smoke shells to disperse the youngsters who pelted stones on them.

Raising of flags has rather been a reoccurring activity since the People's Democratic Party (PDP)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government came to power.

Supporters of Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq had recently waived Silamic State flags in Srinagar. Despite Centre’s warning against such incidents in the Valley, the such incidents have taken place many-a-times.
