KELSA members not involved in apple scam

KOCHI: Denying the involvement of any of its members in investing money with Apple a Day Properties, the Kerala State Legal Services Authority (KELSA) has clarified that only its beneficiaries have lost money the scam.“None of the KELSA members had invested with Apple a Day Properties,” a press release from the member secretary of KELSA said. However, some of its beneficiaries did. And some of them had an annual income less than Rs 1 lakh and some belonged to SC/ST communities. The role of KELSA is strictly in accordance with the statutory provisions of law and it has taken up the case to safeguard the interests of the poor investors at the earliest.
