CHENNAI: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Thursday registered a case against DMK MLA M K Stalin, his son Udhayanidhi Stalin and four others following a complaint by a Teynampet house owner, alleging that he had been forced to sell his property to the family members of the former deputy chief minister at a rate below the market price.In a press release, the CCB said N S Kumar alias N Seshadrikumar lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police on November 29, saying he owned a property at No 8-A, Chitharanjan Das Road, Teynampet. A man called Srinivas threatened his tenants to vacate the house and forced him to sell the house for a price of Rs 5,54,00,000 but did not quantify what the market value was.The release said that based on the complaint, a case in CCB Cr.No 568/11 under Sections 451 (House-trespass in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment), 386 (putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt), 387 (Putting person in fear of death or of grievous hurt, in order to commit extortion), 506-1 (criminal intimidation) and 120B (criminal conspiracy), has been registered against P Venugopal Reddy, M K Stalin, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Raja Shankar, C Subba Reddy (managing director of Ceebros Property) and Srinivas. The case is under investigation, the release said.
