BANGALORE: Kannada film actress Pooja Gandhi has filed a complaint against one Kiran for allegedly threatening to damage her reputation with false allegations.
Kiran, a doctor, was arrested by the police and produced before the magistrate.Pooja Gandhi met the City Police Commissioner B G Jyothiprakash Mirji and Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Alok Kumar and filed a complaint against Kiran. She accused Kiran of sending text messages on her mobile phone, threatening her of hampering her 'star' image using abusive language.
Speaking to Express, the actress said that she knew Kiran from the days when she was acting in Mungaru Male, as he was a relative to the film's producer E Krishnappa. "Earlier, he was friendly with me and my family members. But, he has started threatening me through messages since May 28 night. He is continuously sending text messages that has abusive languages," she said.When asked about why he was threatening her, she said: "Kiran who was telling that he was my fan, gradually started misusing my name. I objected to this and maintained distance from him. Probably, he might have done this out of jealousy".Meanwhile, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Alok Kumar said that the police have suitable evidence about Kiran sending threatening messages to the actress and thus they have arrested him.
