NELLORE: A 26-year-old housewife gave her baby for adoption for Rs 50,000 and later took her baby back from the adoptive parents after quarrelling them.The incident came to light on Monday when Waheeda, a resident of Irrakalla Parameshwari Ammavari Temple area in the town, went to the house of the adoptive parents of her son in Naidupeta and quarreled with them to give back her baby. Waheeda, who has two children, was pregnant with the third one and due to poverty, she wanted to give her unborn child for adoption. She came in contact with a well-to-do family in Naidupeta and took Rs 50,000 to give her baby in adoption.With the money, she reportedly renovated her house and for the last two months of pregnancy, the family which agreed to adopt her baby took care of her needs.After delivering the baby on July 8, she gave it to the family on July 15 as per agreement. All of a sudden, on Monday, she, along with her relative, went to the house of that family and got into a quarrel with them to get her son back.
