New Delhi: After the Supreme Court rejected the plea against release of the juvenile convict, the parents of the December 16 gangrape victim popularly known as Nirbhaya continued their protest at Jantar Mantar on Monday.
Protesting against the juvenile's release, Nirbhaya's mother said, "we have fought for justice, but if our judiciary is not changing things then nothing can be done."
The court has said that everything has happened in accordance with the law and that there are no sanctions to detain the juvenile any further. Three years is the maximum period for which the juvenile could be detained.
The juvenile convict was released on Sunday amidst a high drama in the national capital. The gangrape victim's parents and several others were detained by the police for holding protest against juvenile's release and were later released.
