Koraput (Odisha): A local court on Saturday remanded the CMD of a ponzi scheme company to two-day police custody, official sources said. A cheating case was registered against Prasanth Dash, the CMD of Seashore Group, at Jeypore police station on June 23 and the district police had approached the court for his remand in connection with it, they said.
On Monday, the district and session judge of had rejected the bail application of Dash, who was arrested on June 19 from Mumbai after a cheating case was registered against him in a separate case at Semiliguda police station in Koraput district on June 6.
After being brought to Odisha, Dash has been lodged at the Jeypore sub-jail, the sources added.
