The celebrations will be kicked off at the Town Hall with floral carpet contest.Avani Ghoshayatra, a spectacular procession with elephants, musical accompaniments, folk art forms and floats will be held on Saturday. Tusker Guruvayur Padmanabhan will lead the procession that will start from Edappally Toll Junction will culminate the Thrikkakara Vamanamoorthy Temple.The cultural meet will be inaugurated by Union Minister K V Thomas.This will be followed by fireworks and a mega show led by playback singer Rimi Tomy.
