The upper house of the Parliament was adjourned on Friday owing to lack of quorum after repeated disruptions in the first half of the day.
The house resumed in the afternoon with three members in the Opposition benches and a handful of members in the treasury side.
Earlier, Parliamentary Affairs minister Venkaiah Naidu attacked the Congress party and its vice president Rahul Gandhi and said that it has not right to question PM Modi over the demonetisation move.
Taking a jibe at Rahul, Naidu said, ” I wish the earthquake only happens when everyone is outside parliament.”
Is stopping corruption a wrong move? Is it wrong to target black money hoarders? The Congress has no right to abuse the PM, Naidu said in a media briefing from Bengaluru.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had said that the government is not allowing him to speak over the issue of demonetisation in Parliament and if they do an earthquake will occur.
