TUMKUR: The government is contemplating constructing residential quarters to the police families under Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in the state, announced Home Minister R Ashok in Tiptur on Monday.After inaugurating the newly constructed complex of fire station, office and residential quarters at Tiptur town, he observed that constructing the residential quarters for about 1 lakh police personnel’s families became a Herculean task for the government.The deliberations were held at the CM’s level to construct the quarters at every district head quarter under PPP, Ashok informed.For the fire brigade, the Minister announced that an action plan was ready to implement the complexes to house fire stations, quarters and garage.The fire stations would be opened in 36 more places of the state while 33 stations which were housed in temporary set ups will be upgraded with permanent premises, he promised.The minister also inaugurated the new bus stand at Nonavinakere village and promised that model bus stands will be constructed at every hobli head quarter across the state.The KSRTC had kept its track record intact, by winning many awards at the national level.
