CHENNAI: A 45-year-old realtor, who accompanied a friend summoned by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the city police for questioning, died en route to hospital on Tuesday.Police said that Govindarajan, MD of Chitra Construction in Choolaimedu, lodged a complaint of land grabbing against Perumal Udayar and others. Perumal Udayar was questioned in this connection on October 31. The next day, Perumal brought Kumar, a realtor, along with him, saying that his friend was better acquainted with the facts of the case, the police said.During interrogation, Kumar showed signs of being unwell and so was immediately sent back with Perumal. While he was being taken to the GGH, he died en route, the police claimed.A case was registered against those involved under Section 176 of IPC.
