Remand of Gali extended to November 14

HYDERABAD: With their remand date coming to an end on Monday, the special CBI Magistrate B Naga Maruthi Sharma extended the judicial remand of Gali Janardhan Reddy and his brother-in-law BV Srinivas Reddy in the illegal mining case till November 14.Jail officials used video-conferencing to produce the accused Janardhan Reddy and BV Srinivas Reddy before the Magistrate B Naga Maruthi Sharma.Gali Plea for Change of Jail RoomThe counsel for Gali Janardhan Reddy and his brother-in-law BV Srinivas Reddy on Monday filed a petition in the special CBI court to shift the accused to another room.Later, the court posted for further hearing on the issue on November 2.After filing a petition in the CBI court, Uma Maheswara Rao, senior advocate and Gali Janardhan Reddy’s counsel said they had moved a petition to shift Gali Janardhan Reddy and his brother-in-law into another room considering their social status as per the AP Prison Act.
