KOLLAM: CPI national executive member D Raja has demanded that the Manmohan Singh-led UPA Government plagued by the corruption should conduct a mid-term review of its polices or else the people would throw them out of power.Speaking at a public meet held as part of CPI state conference which began at Cantonment Maidan here on Tuesday, he said that the UPA government had undermined the public sector and has pinned its hopes on private sector, which had however failed to yet any desired result.Mullakkara Ratnakaran MLA who presided over the meet said that people who have been crticising CPI secretary C K Chandrappan for his comments on CPM, should first learn history. Earlier, Veliyam Bhargavan hoisted the party flag, marking the beginning of the party conference. The prizes for the winners of various contests were distributed at the function.
