New Delhi: Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's child is due to be born in November this year and already speculations are rife about the sun sign of the newborn and the stars governing its future.
If a new Zodiac sign Ophiuchus, star sign No. 13, is recognized, there is a good chance that Aishwarya and Abhishek's offspring may well be born under the sign.
Ophiuchus is a rarely used astrological sign that is not included in most versions of the Zodiac calendars. It is also known as 'Serpentarius' with its dates falling between November 29 and December 17.
The ancient Babylonians based zodiac signs on the constellation the Sun was 'in' on the day a person is born.
However, during the ensuing millenniums, the moon’s gravitational pull has made the Earth 'wobble' around its axis, creating about a one-month bump in the stars' alignment.
The Earth is currently in a different spot in relation to the Sun, and its equatorial alignment has changed from 3,000 years ago when the study of astrology began -- back when 12 zodiac signs were assigned to 12 different periods of the year.
Ophiuchus used to be counted between Scorpio and Sagittarius. But it was discarded by the Babylonians because they wanted 12 signs per year.

Those born in Ophiuchus are said to be honest, intellectual, sexually magnetic, prone to change and jealous.
According to the new star charts, those born in the month of November may be a Libra: Oct. 30- Nov 23, Scorpio: Nov 23- Nov 29 or an Ophiuchus: Nov 29 - Dec 17. So there is a good chance also that the child may be a Libra or a Scorpio.
Aishwarya herself is a Scorpio and Abhishek an Aquarian. Under the currently followed zodiac charts, Scorpio is for the duration of Oct 23 - Nov 21 and Sagittarius from Nov 22 - Dec 21. So, depending on when the actual due date is, the child could either be a Scorpio or Sagittarius.
Whatever be the stars, the child, born to two of India's most famous film stars in a nation obsessed with cinema, is already India's first celebrity baby with the media extensively covering Aishwarya's pregnancy soon after her father-in-law and superstar Amitabh Bachchan tweeting the news on June 22.
