Is Jeremy Renner Returning To Mission: Impossible? The MCU Star Has This To Say
Jeremy Renner was introduced as William Brandt in Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol.

Mission: Impossible 8 is set to conclude the iconic spy thriller franchise, especially following the cliffhanger ending of Dead Reckoning. As fans eagerly await the final installment, they are hoping for many exciting elements, including the return of Jeremy Renner’s character, William Brandt. Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Renner’s character quickly won over the hearts of fans, making them feel that he is here to stay. After emerging as one of the most important IMF agents, Brandt reprised his role in Rogue Nation; however, he hasn’t been seen in the franchise since.

While fans still hope to see William Brandt in Mission: Impossible 8, the MCU star recently opened up about the franchise exit and made remarks on his potential return this time.

Is Jeremy Renner Returning To Mission: Impossible?

In a conversation with Collider, Renner shared that he left the Mission: Impossible franchise in the past due to his young daughter, as he did not want to be away from home for a long time. While he didn’t spill any beans about whether he would be a part of the next film, the actor did express that he would love to return to the role if the opportunity presented itself. “Yeah. I had to leave that. I was supposed to do more with them. I love those guys. I love Tom so much. We had so much fun, and I love that character a lot. It requires a lot of time away. It’s all in London. I had to go be a dad. It just wasn’t gonna work out then… Maybe now that my daughter is older, that could happen. I’d always jump into Mission: Impossible anytime and back into Brandt. It’s great,” Renner said.

While it is still uncertain whether the actor will return to his beloved character, the previous films show him working for the CIA after the disbandment of the IMF, remaining loyal to Hunt and Alan Hunley. Now, if only Hunt decides to pull him back into the loop on his next ‘mission’, fans could witness his comeback.
