Contestants Jashwanth Bopanna and Akriti Negi have won the latest season of dating reality show MTV Splitsvilla X5: ExSqueeze Me Please. They defeated Rushali and Harsh, the other couple in the finale.
Jashwanth and Akriti proved to be the ideal match for this season as they handled the ups and downs of their journey on the show with flying colours. Despite all the odds, they stood firm, won challenges and made it to the finale.
Akriti reacted to her win by saying, “I cannot even describe my happiness! This journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Winning MTV Splitsvilla X5: ExSqueeze Me Please with my partner Jashwanth is very special for me. It was a real challenge to compete against such strong competitors but we got through it all together- winning is more important to us than all the other distractions that came in between and we proved that.”
The finale episode exceeded the viewers’ expectations with the Mischief Makers’ biggest battle yet, which left host Sunny Leone in tears. Uorfi and special guest Munawar made the finalists an offer they couldn’t refuse. The grand finale challenge tested the strength, agility, compatibility and coordination of the two couples.
Jashwanth Bopanna said, “Winning the title of India’s first dating reality show is a very proud moment for me. Especially because I was so close to winning the title in my previous two reality shows. But this proves that hard work never goes unnoticed. I am overjoyed to have been able to win the title of MTV Splitsvilla X5: ExSqueeze Me Please with my true connection, Akriti. We beat 30 strong competitors and silenced everyone who criticised us. I would like to thank the fans for their incredible support throughout the season.”
Sunny Leone said, “After witnessing the journey of many contestants through all the seasons of MTV Splitsvilla, Akriti and Jashwanth stood out for me this season. They truly deserve this win. They performed well, found their love and made it to the finish line. I wish them luck and hope they continue to shine together.”
