Actor Abhay Verma is in the headlines for his performance in the film Munjya. His journey to this point is full of struggles. The actor started his acting career with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bairagi.
Abhay also appeared in the web series Family Man 2 opposite Manoj Bajpayee. The actor had only shot for four days for this character. He also got a lot of fame after this role. He has now appeared in the film Munjya.
Recently, in an interview, the actor shared his struggle story. He said that he belongs to a middle-class family. One day his father got jaundice and he was put on bed rest. After this, his mother took the responsibility of the entire family. But his father’s medical expenses had become so much that they had to sell their house. He also said that his mother had taken a loan to educate him, which he later repaid from his earnings.
The actor also mentioned the incident, which he has not been able to forget till date. The actor played the role of transgender Chandni in the 2023 film Safed. He worked very hard to get into this character so that he could leave his mark on the film. Abhay recounts a shocking experience during the project.
He said, “One night I was returning to the hotel. Then I met some drunk boys. They stopped me thinking I was transgender and started misbehaving. When the matter started going out of hand, I told them my reality that I am not transgender, I am just doing this for the film..then they let me go.” Abhay also said that he used to meet people in transgender attire. During this period, he was teased and insulted by the people.
The film Munjya has earned tremendously at the box office. Abhay played the lead character named Bittu opposite Sharvari Wagh in the film. It is a horror-comedy film based in Pune and the Konkan region.
