Fahadh Faasil’s latest starrer, Aavesham, will soon get a Telugu remake. The Malayalam blockbuster was released on April 11 in theatres.
There have been rumours for the past couple of days that Nandamuri Balakrishna will star in the Telugu remake of Aavesham. The reports have gone viral and raised excitement among the audience. But recent reports suggest that he won’t be doing the Telugu remake of the gangster action drama.
“Balakrishna didn’t sign the remake and more importantly no such talks have been initiated by any party. At this moment, the star actor is busy with multiple films and he doesn’t have time for Aavesham remake,” the report mentioned.
Another report by the Deccan Chronicle reveals that the actor has reportedly declined to remake the film Aavesham. “He doesn’t like to do roles with grey and dark shades. He believes that a hero should always play inspiring roles who fights against evil-doers and not play evil himself,” a source said.
Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Aavesham was co-produced by Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya Nazim, Anwar, and Rasheed. The Malayalam film was later released on OTT platforms. The Malayalam film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video, while the Hindi version is available on Disney+ Hotstar.
The Malayalam film features Fahadh Faasil in the lead role of Ranga, a local Bengaluru gangster with roots in Kerala and Karnataka. The film also stars Ashish Vidyarthi, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Sajin Gopu. The plot follows three teenagers who move to Bengaluru for studies but end up in a fight against college seniors for ragging. Then, they seek help from Ranga.
The song Illuminati, which was featured in this film, got a lot of response on the internet. In this case, film production companies are showing interest in remaking versions of the film. But an official announcement regarding this is expected to be released soon. It is worth noting that Aavesham grossed more than Rs 150 crores worldwide. The cinematography and editing of the film were handled by Sameer Thahir and Vivek Harshan, while the music for the film was composed by Sushin Shyam.
