Randeep Hooda Meets Vice President And Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, Praises Their Knowledge On Cinema And Conservation
Randeep Hooda recently met with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Union Minister Bhupender Yadav in Delhi, where they discussed cinema and environmental conservation.

Indian actor, director, and writer Randeep Hooda, celebrated for his work in Indian cinema and dedication to environmental conservation, recently visited Delhi, where he was hosted by Hon. Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankar, at his residence in Enclave.

Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, shared two pictures of the meeting on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “Met artist Shri @RandeepHooda in Delhi. We spoke at length about several issues including his art and industry. Also, discussed his experience playing nationalist freedom fighter Veer Savarkar.”

Randeep Hooda graciously responded to Yadav’s warm reception, expressing, “It was a great pleasure and an honour to meet you @byadavbjp sir. The conversation drawing from your immense and deep knowledge on various subjects including environment, conservation and protection of nature was a very enriching experience for me. Furthermore, your knowledge on cinema was refreshing/energising. Thank you for your time and hospitality.”

In addition to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, the gathering at Enclave was attended by Shri Vineet Dhanda and Shri Varun Jamwal. Randeep, who is also renowned for his wildlife photography, love for animals, and philanthropic efforts, engaged in thoughtful discussions with Yadav on their respective fields of interest. The Minister further announced the meeting on social media.

On the professional front, Randeep Hooda recently shared news of his upcoming collaboration with Sunny Deol and director Gopichand Malineni, marking an exciting new project for the actor.

Randeep Hooda was last seen in the film ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’, which also marked his directorial debut. The movie, which stars Ankita Lokhande as Yamunabai Savarkar, revolves around the life of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, with Randeep portraying the titular role.

The film offers a comprehensive biographical portrayal of Savarkar, from his childhood to key events in his life, presenting him in a near-reverential light. While the movie has been criticized for allegedly distorting historical facts and promoting a one-sided agenda, it has received praise for the performances of its cast, especially Randeep’s portrayal of Savarkar.

Speaking about his directorial debut, Randeep had previously explained his motivation for making ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’, saying he wanted to introduce a broader understanding of India beyond the well-known figure of Mahatma Gandhi.

During the film’s global promotion, Randeep addressed the takeaway for international audiences, stating: “I have taken the route of telling the story of the armed revolution – especially overseas – for a country like India where the image of India that we know of is one of non-violence.

“Therefore, it should be interesting for people across the world to watch this and hence I made it for the international audience in that sense. So that they get to know about India more than just Mahatma Gandhi,” he added.
