After Kaminey and Haider, the duo of Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj is back and this time with a period love-story Rangoon. Set in the times of Second War War, the film is a love triangle between Saif Ali Khan, Kangna Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor.
Rangoon is the story of Julia who is a star and is in a toxic relationship with her producers. To boost the morale of Queens Army stationed in Burma, Julia is asked to perform and sent with her troop against her will. There she falls in love with her bodyguard Subedaar Nawab Malik and thus begins a love triangle. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film brings back the flavour of the 40's with its music and Gulzar's writing.
Will Bhardwaj recreate the magic of his intense narrative once again? Will Shahid and Saif shine alongside powerhouse performer Kangana Ranaut? Will the film justify the story of love and war? Sameeksha from News18 is inside the theater to find out.
