Salman Khan And Madhuri Dixit’s Hum Aapke Hain Koun Returns To Theaters After 30 Years

One of the most cherished classic films of all time, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, is back in theatres to mark the 30th anniversary of its release. The film, featuring Bollywood legends Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit, has captured the hearts of audiences of all ages over the years. Its unforgettable songs, memorable characters and the unparalleled chemistry between Salman and Madhuri have made it a timeless favourite. Re-releasing today on August 9, this cult classic gives fans the chance to relive the nostalgia on the big screen.

To mark the film’s 30th anniversary, Rajshri Films has scheduled a special re-release at select Cinepolis theatres across India. Announcing the news to the fans, they wrote, “Relive the magic of love, friendship, and family with ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ as the film re-releases in selected Cinepolis theatres from August 9 onwards.”

Hum Aapke Hain Koun, directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions, was originally released on August 5, 1994. The film became a cultural sensation and is credited with redefining family entertainment in Bollywood by blending Indian traditions and values into a story of love and unity.

As Hum Aapke Hain Koun marked its 30th anniversary, the makers shared a one-minute clip compilation on Instagram, capturing some of the film’s most memorable moments and highlighting the romance between Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan’s characters. The caption read, “As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’, let’s revisit the full movie summed up in 1 min that redefined love and sacrifice.”

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Madhuri Dixit highlighted the importance of Hum Aapke Hain Koun to her career. She stated that the film was a huge success and emphasised, “The way my character was portrayed, I became like a family member to everyone. I was a bahu, beti, girlfriend, wife, etc. So, they accepted me in very different ways. That’s the importance of what Hum Aapke Hain Koun did to everybody’s career at that time, be it Salman or me or all the actors.”

Apart from Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit, Hum Aapke Hain Koun also features Mohnish Bahl, Renuka Shahane, Alok Nath, Reema Lagoo, Anupam Kher, Satis Shah, Himani Shivpuri, Dilip Joshi, Laxmikant Berde, Priya Arun and Ajit Vachani.
