The film 12th Fail was highly praised by the audience for its inspiring storyline and depiction of each character. Vikrant Massey gained massive prominence for his performance. In a recent development, a special screening of the film took place at the Supreme Court on September 25. The Chief Justice of India along with other honourable judges and over 600 officials of the Supreme Court and their families attended the special screening. Chief Justice of India Dr D Y Chandrachud also praised the film in a conversation with director Vidhu Vinod Chopra and his team following the screening.
CJI Dr D Y Chandrachud applauded the whole team of 12th Fail mentioning that the film will surely inspire many. He also praised the director for the depiction of all the characters. He said, “I believe every member of our staff family will be truly inspired to encourage their children in leading the nation to new heights. Such films inspire everyone to do something better everyday for the people around us. My compliments to Vidhu ji for his fine work in depicting a real-life story in the film. Both Vikrant and Medha have done a brilliant job. The film conveys such a strong message of hope.”
Speaking on the occasion, director Vidhu Vinod Chopra said that this was the most special evening of my life. “This was one of the most pleasant evenings of my life. I was watching the film sitting next to a man (honourable CJI Dr D Y Chandrachud) who understood everything I tried to communicate through it. He made me feel that spending 5 years of my life on this film was worth it. I want to thank all the honourable judges and members of the Supreme Court who found time to join us for this special screening. It was a magical evening,” he said.
The film narrates the story of IPS Officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS Officer Shraddha Joshi, who overcame all obstacles to achieve his dream. The two officials were also presented at the screening event. The music was composed by Shantanu Moitra.
