Triptii Dimri has become a rising star following her impactful performance in Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and led by Ranbir Kapoor. With this success, her popularity has skyrocketed, but it hasn’t come without challenges. Reflecting on how fame has affected her personal life, Triptii candidly shared that while she cherishes the recognition, it has come at the cost of her freedom.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Triptii humorously recalled how she used to enjoy everyday activities like buying vegetables before Animal was released. Now, those simple pleasures feel like a distant memory. “One wants fame, but I love my freedom too. I love going for long walks. I love chilling with my friends without getting bothered about other things, but now that this has happened, things have changed. I’m not free anymore. The sense of freedom has kind of gone away,” she admitted.
The actress opened up about how she is still adjusting to this new reality, especially as someone who treasures her personal space. Triptii fondly remembered her carefree days walking along Carter Road and enjoying meals out, activities that she now has to approach with caution. “I have to be very careful. So that is one part that I miss a lot. But other than that, everything looks very good,” she added.
To find balance amidst her busy career, Triptii often retreats to the mountains, seeking peace away from the chaos. She emphasized how these breaks help her recharge and improve her craft as an actor.
Having completed four films last year, she acknowledged that the constant interaction with people can take a toll, both mentally and physically, making time for rest all the more essential.
As she looks ahead, Triptii is preparing for the release of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, where she stars alongside Rajkummar Rao. The comedy-drama is set to hit theaters on October 11, 2024, and will compete with Alia Bhatt’s Jigra, which co-stars Vedang Raina.
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video follows the story of Vicky and Vidya, a couple who get married in 1997 and film their wedding night. The chaos begins when the CD of their wedding video is stolen from their home, leading to a series of comedic and chaotic events in their small town.
The film has an ensemble cast featuring Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, Archana Puran Singh, Ashwini Kalsekar, Mast Ali, Mukesh Tiwari, Archana Patel, Rakesh Bedi and Tikku Talsania. The trailer is filled with hilarious moments and gives a sneak peek into the fun awaiting the audience.
