Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk are currently on a promotional spree for the upcoming romantic drama Bad Newz. Headed to release in theatres on July 19, the film has generated enough buzz among audiences for its peppy songs and engaging trailer. Taking the promotional activities to a whole new level, the trio recently added a video to their Instagram timeline, taking social media by storm.
The enthralling clip starts with Vicky Kaushal offering chocolate to Triptii Dimri. The actress accepts the chocolate, giving him a bottle of water in exchange. But, it’s not what you think. The moment Vicky takes a sip of water; he collapses unconscious, leaving fans worried. Turns out, Triptii laced the water with poison, strategising against the actor. Wait, what? As the actress struts away with Ammy, taking a bit of chocolate, she drops dead. Next, the clip cuts to a flashback scene where we can see that both the talented men had already caught the actress as she indulged in the mischievous act. In an act of revenge, they positioned her chocolate.
As the video proceeds towards the end, we can see Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk walking together, leaving fans amused by the interesting chain of twists and turns. The video was captioned, “Bad Newz – Multiverse of Kalesh!!!”

Even celebrities could not resist sharing their opinions on the video. Ayushmann Khurrana commented on the clip, “greater Kalesh colony.” Sharad Kelkar also reacted to the video saying, “Kalesh me hi anand hai tiwari ji ko,” referring to the director of the film, Anand Tiwari.
Backed by producers Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz has sparked curiosity about the movie’s plot. It is based on the unusual notion of heteropaternal superfecundation as Triptii’s character, Saloni Bagga, gets pregnant with two fathers in the film, portrayed by Ammy Virk and Vicky Kaushal in the film.
However, days before the film’s release, reports surfaced suggesting that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had deleted three scenes depicting two characters kissing for 9 seconds, 10 seconds and 8 seconds respectively. As claimed by the entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama, the cut list by the censor board mentions the ‘visual of lip-lock be modified’. It is yet to be witnessed how the makers of Bad Newz will ‘modify’ these kissing scenes.
