Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul are one of the most talked-about celebrity couples. The duo never misses an opportunity to express their love for one another and is frequently trying to root for each other in their personal endeavours. As such, Athiya Shetty makes it a point to be there for her hubby during his matches. In a recent interview, KL Rahul shared how Athiya is superstitious and her reaction when he ripped his quadricep tendon.
He told Star Sports, “She was more frustrated and angry than I was. I found myself trying to keep her calm as it was the first time she was seeing me go through something like this. It was tough for both of us but it also gave us time that we needed together. She gave me a lot of love.”
He added, “If I am peaceful if I am in a balanced state of mind, that helps me perform my best, and that’s what she does for me in terms of cricket and professionally. Also, I can be a little too laid back and content at times. She challenges me to do better, push my boundaries a little bit.”
KL Rahul also opened up on Athiya Shetty’s superstition, “She has a lucky spot at home. So, she wants to sit there. You know how partners can be, they have their lucky positions, their lucky seats. They want to sit there and watch it. She’ll not move when I’m batting. She has certain superstitions when I am playing.”
Athiya and KL Rahul married on January 23, this year, in a private ceremony at her father Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala. The pair had been dating for almost four years before deciding to take the next step and tie the knot.
In a recent interview with Etimes, KL Rahul shared how Athiya support means a lot to him. He stated, “That is one thing which has been constant throughout my career. I recently got married; her support has always been there. She is someone who pushes me to do better. We both have very different personalities, and she, without being cheesy does complete me in a lot of ways. Her support is immense.”
