The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the answer key JEE Main 2021 for March session on, www.jeemain.nta.nic.in. This is a preliminary answer key and students can raise objections against it. This facility to raise objections is available from March 20 to March 22, 2021 upto 1 pm. The payment window, however, will remaon open till 3 pm on March 22.

Candidates who have appeared for the JEE Main March 2021 session can access the tentative answer key by logging on to the website using their username and password. In case, an aspirant feels that the response mentioned in the JEE (Main) March 2021 session answer key is incorrect, s/he can raise objections by attaching adequate proof and paying a fee per question.

In order to raise objections to the JEE Main March 2021 session answer key that has been released by the NTA, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open any internet browser of your and search for www.jeemain.nta.nic.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads ‘Challenges regarding answer key’

Step 3: Login using your username and password

Step 4: The answer key will open on a new page

Step 5: Each question will have an ID and so will the answers, select the ID depending on the answer you want to raise an objection for

Step 6: There will be a tab that reads, ‘Save your Claim’. Click on it and proceed

Step 7: In a new window, the Question ID that you have challenged will open

Step 8: Upload the documents and proofs through which you can substantiate your claim

Step 9: Pay the processing fee of Rs 200 digitally and finish the process

Step 10: Once done, download and take a print of the receipt for future reference

If the objection raised is correct, the processing fees will be returned to the candidate. The final answer key will be released after studying all the objections. JEE Main March result will be based on the final answer key.

JEE Main March 2021: Calculate marks

To calculate marks using the answer keys, candidates have to compare the answer key and the response sheet. If the response matches or if the answer is correct, the student will get four marks. In case of a wrong or non-matching answer, one mark will be deducted. The most accurate marks can be estimated using the final answer key as the preliminary answer key might get changed.

This is the second session of the JEE Main 2021 exams. This year, four sessions will be held. Those who have not secured desired marks can appear for April and May sessions next. The best marks obtained by a student will be calculated to create the rank list, as per NTA.
