Bhopal: Attacking Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the disqualification of 20 MLAs, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari has said that the party is paying for its misdeeds.
The BJP leader, who was in Bhopal on Sunday, said “AAP ko uske kukarmon ki saza mil rahi hai. (AAP is paying for its misdeeds). "He also dubbed the Delhi government’s much-hyped schemes of free water supply and mohalla clinics as a mere eyewash. “Truth has prevailed with the disqualification of 20 AAP MLAs," he said.
On the recommendation of the Election Commission, President Ram Nath Kovind has disqualified 20 MLAs of Arvind Kejriwal’s party on the charges of these lawmakers holding 'office of profit'.
While responding to the controversy on Padmaavat, Tiwari urged the Bollywood directors to take care of the public sentiments while making films. He, however, asked those opposing the movie to see it once.
Tiwari said the Supreme Court’s decision of lifting the ban on the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie was binding.
Among other states, Madhya Pradesh is also required to take a call on the screening of the movie in the light of the SC decision.
