New Delhi: Union Law Minister Kapil Sibal trashed the allegations on his proximity with the Tehelka group and asked the Bharatiya Janata Party to instead name him if its leaders could prove that he had any connections with Tarun Tejpal, the founder-editor of the magazine, who has been charged for attempt to rape by the Goa Police.
Reacting to BJP's claim that a Union Minister was shielding Tejpal, Sibal said: "Someone in the BJP is saying that I am shielding Tarun Tejpal, then they should have the courage to name me. I didn't expect the RSS and the BJP to stoop to this level, I have only one sister, they can attack me politically not personally. I have only one sister who lives in Maharani Bagh. If they have the courage then they should name me. I don't even have a single share of Tehalka, I have never applied for a share in Tehelka."
Sibal said that the BJP was trying to politicise the matter in the run-up to the general elections when much important issues need to be looked into.
