Kejriwal Hits Out at PM Modi Over Parliamentary Secretary Row
Lashing out at the Modi government, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that parliamentary secretaries were appointed by previous regimes and the attack on AAP government reeks of double standards.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the row on the appointment of Parliamentary secretaries, alleging that he was punishing the people of Delhi.

Lashing out at the Modi government, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that parliamentary secretaries were appointed by previous regimes and the attack on AAP government reeks of double standards.

"Modiji, I appeal to you with folded hands, keep up your attacks on us, beat us do whatever you wish but don't take it out on the people of Delhi. Don't make the people suffer", Kejriwal said.

BJP MLA Vijender Gupta hit out at the Delhi CM for playing the victim card. "They are trying to play victim card, its an unconstitutional step and not good for our democracy, today what he did is not acceptable", he said.

Congress wasn't far behind in hitting out at Kejriwal. Congress leader Ajay Maken said that it was Kejriwal's lust for power which made him appoint the secretaries.

"You called your party Aam Aadmi Party but as soon as you came in power you appointed 21 parliamentary secretaries. They are appointed for CM but every minister in your cabinet has more than 2-3 parliament secretary", Maken said.

What's your reaction?
