Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the Congress party, which once used to call Lord Ram ‘imaginary’, is now chanting ‘Jai Siya Ram’. Addressing the audience in Haryana’s Rewari, the prime minister also spoke on Article 370 and ‘one rank, one pension’ that benefitted personnel from Haryana.
“The country wished that a grand Ram temple should be built in Ayodhya, today the whole country is seeing Ram Lalla sitting in the grand Ram temple. The Congress people, who used to think Lord Ram was imaginary, who never wanted Ram temple to be built, have also started chanting Jai Siya Ram…” the prime minister said.

PM Modi’s Rewari visit, which comes ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, is seen as the launch of his electoral campaign. Interestingly, Rewari is the place where he addressed his first rally as the prime ministerial face of the BJP back in 2013.
Before his address, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth more than Rs 9750 crore in Rewari.
