New Delhi: Chipsip Technology has unveiled a smart media player that is a blend of Google Glass and a pair of over-the-ear headphones.
Unveiled at the 2015 Computex event, the Chipsip SiME Smart Headphones is a digital media player that has a Google Glass-like display attached to a pair of cushioned headphones.
It is an improvised version of Chipsip’s existing smart glasses and run on Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The touchpad is integrated into the projection display arm.
The concept is about a merger of headphones with a tiny screen that projects videos and allows you to navigate around online content. It can also be used to stream music and video directly from an Android phone.
An Engadget report notes that the device has a 180-degree hinge which lets you to flip out the screen if you only want to focus on audio. It is expected to be launched in the next three months.
