Apple iPhone 16 has taken all the limelight even before the product launches but finally we have some exciting details about the Apple Watch Series 10. The company’s new Apple Watch model is rumored to feature a new display tech which could play a big part in increasing its battery life.
New media report this week claims Apple is ready to adopt the LTPO display tech along with TFT to improve the screen efficiency of the Apple Watch that could have a direct impact on the battery intake of the gadget.
Smartwatches have somewhat lost their sheen because people don’t want another gadget that needs to be charged daily. The OnePlus Watch 2 launched recently shows a new outlook towards battery life thanks to the new dual OS strategy for WearOS. So, if Apple does manage to tweak the display tech successfully then Apple Watch Series 10 could finally make a case for people investing in a high-end smartwatch that will last more than a few days.
Technically, we still don’t know how much the new display tech will improve the battery life, but at least 2-3 days should be the target for the company and its team of engineers. Apple was earlier reported to be working on microLED display tech for Apple Watches but that team was reportedly shut down along with the rumoured electric car project.
The addition of new display tech in the Apple Watch Series 10 is unlikely to be the only major change this year. Having said that, people would be hoping that any new additions don’t come at the cost of a higher price tag for the next Apple Watch Series model. The new Apple Watch models are expected to be announced with the iPhone 16 series later this year.
