Coconut water embodies both nutrition and refreshment with every sip. With a naturally sweet flavour, coconut water is considered one of the best drinks that quenches thirst like no other beverage and is packed with electrolytes such as magnesium, calcium, and potassium. And guess what? Coconut water has made its way to the bustling streets of London. Amid the towering skyscrapers and iconic landmarks, a coconut water vendor has been making waves online with his unique selling style.
A British vendor has set up a shop in a car in a pedestrian area, attracting curious passersby with the promise of fresh and authentic coconut water. As the video proceeds, he can be heard screaming ‘Nariyal, Nariyal Pilo’ as he cracks open coconuts with his sharp knife.
The video was shared two days ago, and since then it has garnered the attention of more than 6.8 million viewers. Moreover, the video has pulled in 370,000 likes till now. Soon after being uploaded, social media users shared their views. A majority of viewers called the vendor American basketball player LeBron James’s lookalike, while others suggested asking for the malai in the coconut. Some also hailed how the vendor invited people to drink coconut water in Hindi.
“‘Nariyal Pani Pi lo.’ Bhai kya baat hai Hindi chal rahi hai udhar,” read a comment.
Another questioned, “Why he looks like LeBron, tho.”
“We got narial pani wala in London before GTA 6,” joked another.
An individual remarked, “Malai bhi nikalne bolna. (Ask him to scrape the cream too.)”
A few days ago, another video of a British man bringing the authentic flavour of Kolkata’s Jhalmuri to the UK went viral. Jhalmuri is a popular street food from Kolkata thanks to its flavourful blend of puffed rice, fresh veggies, chutney, and aromatic spices. In the Instagram video, the food vendor is seen rolling a food cart that resembles street food carts in India and expertly preparing jhalmuri. He takes puffed rice into a steel bowl and tosses fresh coriander, sliced coconut, cucumbers, onions, and spices. Then, he thoroughly mixes the ingredients before squeezing fresh lemon juice over the concoction.
But what’s even more eye-catching was the final touch to the jhalmuri. The British man accompanied it with Imli chutney, bhujia, and masala and served the dish packed in a newspaper cone, just like Kolkata vendo
