The vehicle made people driving on the road turn their heads to take a better look at it.

Imagine driving on a busy road and suddenly spotting a small hut moving alongside the traffic. This sounds like a scene from a sci-fi movie, but something like this happened in Surat, Gujarat. A team of designers somehow designed a small hut over a four-wheeler. The people driving on the road were seen turning their heads to take a better look at the ‘moving hut’. On Sunday, Viral Bhayani, a popular Bollywood photographer, shared a video of this ‘moving hut’ on Instagram. Reportedly, the makers of this vehicle were inspired by the 2004 film Taarzan: The Wonder Car.

This vehicle has a speed of 15 to 20 kilometres per hour. However, the legality of operating it on a busy road is unclear. This video has over 69,000 likes. Commenting on this video, an Instagram user wrote, “Tarzan the wonder home.” Another person wrote, “Tarzan the Wonder Car 2 trailer.”

While the vehicle’s unique design left many impressed, some noted that it might cause distraction for other drivers on the road. An Instagram user asked, “Where is no plate?” Another person noted, “But wouldn’t this distract people on the road? Don’t look safe really.”

This was not the first time a unique vehicle from Surat created a buzz. In July last year, a Surat-based Instagram page shared a video that showed a man driving a strange monocycle in the city. It was unclear who this monocycle was and how safe it was to drive it on the roads. An Instagram user jokingly commented on the video, “Kaka is a time traveler from future”.

Many people also mentioned that the monocycle reminded them of Gyrocycle, a vehicle used by Agents K and J in the famous Men In Black franchise. Making this observation, an Instagram user wrote, “Chacha took men in black seriously”. Another person wrote, “Inspiration taken from men in black 2 movie.”

People also wondered about the practicality of driving a monocycle when it rains or the vehicle moves over a water-filled pothole. Making this observation, an Instagram user wrote, “Very good. But what happens if it rains? All the muddy water will go over his head.”

What's your reaction?
