The Children’s Mobile Film Festival was inaugurated by Anwar Sadath MLA at Keezhumad Blind School here on Friday. The mobile film festival is being organised to create awareness among the children on the International Children’s Film Festival to be held in Chavara Cultural Centre, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Maharaja’s College in Ernakulam from June 17 to June 19 this month. The mobile film festival is being organised by Heart Light Association, an international organisation promoting cultural and arts activities, in association with the Children’s Film Festival Society of India and Kerala Chalachithra Academy. The film ‘T A Dasan Standard VI B’ which won the State Film Award was screened in this connection. Keezhumad Blind School was chosen for the inaugural function to honour Asna Aslam, a student of the school, who was crowned the National Film Award for Children in the National Film Festival last year. Saboo Colonia presided over the function. Heart Light Association president K K Prakash, H Wilfred, director Binu M Balakrishnan, headmistress Sheela Jubility and secretary Varghese Alexander spoke.The Children’s Mobile Film Festival will be organised in different schools in the district. The mobile van has been arranged by Kerala Chalachithra Academy.
