KPCC Womens Wing seeks more seats

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Women’s wing chief Manjula Naidu has demanded tickets for women candidates in at least one Assembly constituency in every Lok Sabha constituency in the state.

 She told reporters that at least 28 tickets should be given to women candidates in the state in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

 A memorandum in this regard has been given to Congress’ state in-charge Madhusudhan Mistri, she said.

 Congress women’s convention She said Mysore divisional level women’s Congress convention will be held on October 3 at High School Grounds in Hassan.

 AICC women’s wing national president Anita Verma will inaugurate the convention and KPCC president G Parameshwar, Opposition leader Siddaramaiah and others will participate.

 Naidu alleged that the BJP government has utterly failed to raise to the expectations of the people of the state.

 The crime against women has increased during the party’s tenure, she said referring to Mangalore’s attack.
