CHENNAI: A group of advocates attacked and vandalised bakeries, juice shops and eateries run by Keralities at Little Mount in Saidapet on Friday. The lawyers first targeted ‘Corner Snacks’ of Moideen (45), a native of Kozhikode in Kerala, who has been residing in the city for 36 years. The mob then targeted an eatery run by M C Mohan (44), a native of Kozhikode and a city resident for the past three-and-a-half decades. The men in black and white then entered the adjacent ‘Hotel Mount Palace’ and smashed the tables, a refrigerator, soft drink bottles and the neon signboard, besides a two-wheeler parked there. On their way back, the advocates attacked ‘Juice Court’ on Taluq Office Road run by Aslam. On information, senior police officials rushed to the spot and conducted investigation. Commissioner of Police J K Tripathy told Express that a case had been registered against the advocates, but no arrests made so far. Similar incidents had been reported at Ice House and Mogappair on Thursday night.
