Noida: The Commissioner of Noida has ordered that the families of all those whose children were allegedly sexually exploited and then killed by a businessman and his servant, should be given Rs 2 lakh each as compensation.
The government has so far identified the families of 12 of the victims of the serial killing for compensation and eight were handed over the relief amount on Tuesday.
The remaining four families have yet to be located.
He has even ordered a high-level probe into the serial killings starting on Tuesday.
Meerut Commissioner Devdat Sharma visited the aggrieved families in Nithari area of the township and distributed the compensation cheques.
The Government has also promised ration, drinking water facility and free medical aid to the families of the victims.
The parents of the children broke down as they were given the cheques. "We don't need money. We want our children back," said an emotional Sunil Biswas whose three-year-old girl was among the victims.
Another parent Jhabbu Lal said the house of main accused Moninder, where the children were allegedly sexually abused and slaughtered, should be demolished and a temple should be constructed at the site in memory of those killed.
Tempers also ran high as the compensation was distributed, with a woman, a resident of the area, collecting the shawls that were given along with the cheque and throwing them away.
