Smartphones have been around for years and now it is time for AI to take shape in other forms. The Humane AI Pin is one such product that wants to replace our smartphone’s screen with the help of gestures and other controls. The company is run by people who have spent decades at Apple, so the pedigree is unquestionable. The device was expected to be available in the market from 2024 onwards but now we have a shipping date for the AI Pin and how much it is going to cost to replace the phones.
Humane AI has confirmed that the people who have pre-ordered the AI Pin will be getting their units shipped in March 2024. The AI Pin costs $699 (Rs 56,000 approx) and will be interesting to see how people use the device and what the reviews have to say about this unique device.
We are thrilled to announce that Ai Pin will start shipping in March 2024.All of us here at Humane can’t wait for you to experience your Ai Pin, the world’s first wearable computer powered by Ai. Human AI Pin Features
Humane has taken a stance against Apple’s Vision Pro mixed-reality headset, with Chaudhri saying during his demonstration that “the future is not on your face.” Humane has also filed a trademark application for that phrase.
Because the Ai Pin does not have a traditional screen or keyboard, it relies heavily on artificial intelligence to interact with users in natural spoken language.
The Ai Pin device is wearable in two parts: a square device and a battery pack that magnetically attaches to your clothes or other surfaces. In addition to that price, there’s also the $24 monthly fee for a Humane subscription, which gets you a phone number and data coverage through T-Mobile’s network.
The Ai Pin uses a combination of voice controls, touch controls, and a camera to sense the user’s intentions. It also has a tiny projector that can be used to display information on the user’s hand. The Ai Pin is powered by technologies from ChatGPT-creator OpenAI and cloud computing power from Microsoft.
