21 houses damaged in heavy rain

KOCHI: Twenty one houses were partially damaged in the heavy rain that lashed Ernakulam district for the past few days.The total loss owing to the rain is estimated at Rs 82,730. The estimate is based on the reports received between 10 am to 4 pm on Monday. Kothamangalam taluk suffered a loss of Rs 15,000, Four houses were damaged in the taluk.Nine houses were damaged In Paravur taluk whereas eight houses were damaged in Kanayannur.
