HYDERABAD: The Centre Crime Station police on Friday arrested a gang comprising five members including two women and a practicing advocate who were involved in duping unemployed youth in the name of providing jobs while collecting money from them.D Ramdas, additional deputy commissioner of police (Crime) said they arrested T Vijaya Lakshmi, Mukund Rao Satish Phuke, Venkatesh Prasad, Sadala Kanta Reddy, a practicing advocate and the kingpin P Sandhya Rani, who had duped a number of unemployed youth to the tune of Rs 84 lakh on the pretext of providing jobs and Pavula Vaddi loans from the State Bank of India.Based on complaints lodged by victims at police stations of Mahankali, Gopalapuram, Market, Sultan Bazar and Begumpet, CC S police investigated into the issue and arrested the five-member gang.Police recovered Rs 5 lakh and land documents from the accused.The CC S police registered a case against them and investigation is on.
