Kiliroor case: Cross examination concludes

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CBI court here on Tuesday concluded the process of cross examination of statements given by the first accused-turned-approver in Kiliroor case, Omanakutty.  During the cross examination, Omanakutty stated that the Kottayam police had kept her under custody for three days without registering her arrest.  She was produced before the magistrate only three days after her  surrender before the police. She also dismissed the allegation raised by the counsel of Sari that the victim had a love affair with one of the accused, Praveen, and Omanakutty gave all assistance to their relationship. The CBI court will record the statement of another witness and father of the victim, Surendran, on Thursday.
